Corporate values statement

Clarks is a retail business employing more than 10,000 employees and operates globally. At Clarks, we take great pride in the contribution we make and the way that we conduct our business. We recognise that we have a responsibility to both our planet and the people that call it home.

In line with our 6 Code of Ethics principles, we endeavour to work together to ensure unethical behaviour does not take place. We have a Code of Ethics to make sure that all employees understand the behaviours required to ensure this happens. The Code has the full support of the Clarks Board.

Our Code of Ethics sets out how we should conduct ourselves to maintain our integrity and reputation. The Code operates in conjunction with our values and corporate responsibility commitments to provide the framework and guidance for operating in an open, honest, ethical and principled way.

The Code applies to our employees and those we work with. Knowing and following our Code of Ethics helps us avoid violations of laws and regulations - keeping the company and employees out of trouble and protecting our reputation.

Our suppliers and contractors are also required to comply with key elements of the code, alongside our Supplier Code of Practice. We are committed to acting on issues like climate change, sustainability and workers’ rights. We have laid out the actions we are taking and the ethics that guide us to ensure that we meet these goals in the most transparent way possible and expect our employees and suppliers to ensure adherence to these commitments.

We urge you to raise concerns and report any situations where you believe the Code may have been violated.

We are confident that together we will ensure we continue to meet the high standards expected of a leading member of the global business community. If you have any questions on the Code, please contact

The Code of Ethics can be found here.
