At 25 years old, Jorja Smith has spent nearly a decade soaring in the music world with her unique voice and searing pen. She's collaborated with many international stars, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Stormzy, Burna Boy, Kali Uchis and Popcaan. From Walsall, the West Midlands, Smith was the first independent artist to win the coveted BRITs Critics Choice Award in 2018; that same year, Lost & Found, her debut album, was released to rave reviews and a Mercury Prize nomination. She also won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist in 2019 and was nominated for the Grammy, Best New Artist. Her second album 'Falling or Flying' will be released on September 29.
As well as being an incredibly talented musician, Jorja has evolved into a style icon and bounced from the recording studio to the catwalk, featuring in Feben's FW23 runway show at London Fashion Week and Marine Serre SS23 runway show at Paris Fashion Week.
Her debut collaboration with Clarks Originals takes inspiration from our iconic Desert Nomad silhouette: Jorja has developed a new mule variant built with the Desert Trek last and iconic stitch-down construction. The Sciarada's EVOLO suede upper is stitched with compostable thread and sits upon a premium black crepe sole. Jorja Smith silver embossed fobs and footbeds pay homage to the talented musician and Clarks' authentic craft.
