Since day one, we’ve innovated. Done things differently, to craft quality shoes that look out for your feet while being mindful of our use of resources. And as we’ve grown, so have our initiatives – staying true to our community-focused roots to support people across the globe.

Inspiring for change
We're change-makers – always have been, always will be. And we're fiercely committed to improving equality, diversity, and inclusivity locally and globally: whether supporting Black creatives in fashion, mentoring marketing talent from the LGBTQ+ community. We will continue to amplify marginalised and underrepresented voices, partnering with more like-minded brands and businesses to keep changing the world for the better.
Championing people
People make us who we are, and we believe in looking after them. Back in the 19th century, his Quaker roots saw William Clark invest in his Somerset community and even build his workers homes – many of which still surround our global HQ in Street. When it comes to our colleagues, partners, and customers, we act with integrity and honesty, with more pledges to our people on the way as we move forward.
Reducing our impact on the planet
We crafted our first pair of slippers from leftover sheepskin – so being mindful of our use of resources is in our roots. We make our shoes to last, using durable, quality materials that stand the test of time.
And we research and innovate. We utilise waste-reducing shoe constructions for collections like glueless Origin, and we strive to use more sustainable alternatives to virgin materials, including recycled content. We also support in shoe recycling projects to help close the loop and benefit communities near and far.
There’s more to do as we continue our sustainability journey. But we’re stepping in the right direction. Join us on our journey to be better, so you can buy better for the world ahead.
