How to use a Tape Measure

For the perfect fit, we recommend visiting our in-store experts. But if you can’t make it in, try our hassle-free at-home guides to help growing feet get the support they need.

You will need: Pen, tape measure, A4 paper or download our handy paper measure

Print your free at-home measuring guide and cut along the dotted line to separate the paper measure. Position the chart on a hard floor. (or your piece of a4 paper if you do not have access to a printer)

  • Step 1: Length Place your child’s foot on the printed measure (or the a4 piece of blank paper), ensuring they stand tall with feet slightly apart. Mark the longest toe and heel, then measure the distance in mm—this is their length.

  • Step 2: Width Place the tape under their foot, mm side up. Slide your index fingers forward from the heel to find the joints—your measuring points. Measure around the foot without squeezing.

  • Step 3: Record Measurements Make a note of the measurements and repeat on the other foot.
