Cambrensis, meaning 'Of Wales' in Latin, is an independent Welsh fashion house founded in 2022 and based in Cardiff. Rooted in the culture, heritage and communities of South Wales, the brand exists to express Welsh identity through contemporary design, creating collections that celebrate craftsmanship, authenticity and a strong sense of place.
The Cambrensis icon features a Cambrian Type No.1 Miners Safety Lamp, a symbol deeply embedded within Welsh history and working-class communities. It represents the resilience, creativity and spirit that continue to inspire everything we do. More than a logo, it serves as a reminder of the people and stories that shaped modern Wales and remain at the heart of the Cambrensis philosophy.
Every Cambrensis collection is designed in South Wales by founder, designer and Creative Director Ioan Bowen-Pickett. Influenced by Welsh culture, industrial heritage and a lifelong appreciation for timeless style, each collection reflects his creative vision while remaining true to the values that define Cambrensis.
Our ambition has always been to establish a proudly independent Welsh fashion house that represents modern Wales on the global stage.
